SASKATOON, SK, May 1, 2013 - On May 1, 2013, Ashu M. G. Solo was appointed the new chief executive officer (CEO) of the Saskatoon-Humboldt Federal Green Party Association. Also, he is now the highest ranking electoral district association agent for the federal Green Party in northern Saskatchewan.
"I'm honoured to take over this position from Sandra Finley, who did an outstanding job," Solo said.
In this role, Solo will be trying for cooperation between the Green Party of Canada, New Democratic Party of Canada, and Liberal Party of Canada to prevent vote splitting on the left in northern Saskatchewan ridings and remove the Conservative Party of Canada from power. Also, he will be running events to inform the public about various public policy issues.
Solo is available to the media for comment on any federal public policy issues for the Green Party of Canada.
In the future, Solo will resign this position to run for the House of Commons.
Solo is well-known for his engineering and math research, over 425 publications, civil rights case about prayer recitations at government events, civil rights case about Christmas greetings on buses, complaint for online campaign advertising violations, and other progressive activism. He has extensive published research in energy conservation. Solo served honourably as an infantry officer (occupation) and platoon commander understudy (appointment) in the Canadian Army Reserve.
